Oxford gathering

During the 17th Oxford Patristics Conference, from 10-14 August, 2015, members of Asia-Pacific Early Christian Studies Society (and friends) gathered for a social evening at the King's Arms Hotel in Oxford. The special event during our gathering was the launch of Christians Shaping Identity from the Roman Empire to Byzantium: Studies Inspired by Pauline Allen, ed. Geoffrey D. Dunn and Wendy Mayer, Supplements to Vigiliae Christianae, vol. 132 (Leiden and Boston: Brill, 2015). This was a fitting occasion to acknowledge the impact Pauline Allen has had not only on the society and on early Christian scholarship in the Asia-Pacific region, but on international scholarship more broadly. As usual, a good time was had by all.
