Like the North American Patristics Society, we have decided that in years when the International Patristics Conference is held in Oxford, the Western Pacific Rim Patristics Society will not hold a conference but instead, as we did to launch the society, would have a social gathering at Oxford during that conference for those who are there. So members of the society who were in Oxford and a few friends gathered on the Tuesday evening, 7 August, during the 15th Conference, which ran between 6-10 August, in the King’s Arms for a convivial evening. In the midst of the hectic schedule of the International Patristics Conference this was a rare moment to have an opportunity to relax and speak at leisure.
